

My
activities are oriented towards the syntheses of new organometallic
compounds with attractive chemical or physical properties, and the use
of X-ray diffraction studies as a tool to characterize new compounds.
Up to the end of 1993, I have been interested in the field of
cluster-assisted ligand transformation in the Laboratoire de Chimie des
Métaux
de Transition (LCMT, URA419). In 1994, I moved to the Laboratoire de
Chimie de Coordination du CNRS (LCC, UPR8241, Toulouse), where I was
the
manager of the SAIM team (Synthèse Asymétrique et Interactions
Moleculaires) until December 2002. Since 2003, I share the management
of a new group LC3 (Ligands Chiraux, Complexes et Catalyse)
which results from the merging of 3 groups. In this new team, my main
interest is devoted to stereochemistry and syntheses of new ligands or
complexes with two principal aims, asymmetric catalysis and the
building
of new materials.:
- Building of chiral polysubstituted ferrocenes which
can be used in many fields such as organic synthesis, asymmetric
catalysis, and materials chemistry (Non-Linear Optics, Dendrimers…).

- Syntheses of new chiral phospholes and 2,2'-biphospholes ligands to build enantiomerically pure metal complexes and their use in asymmetric catalysis.

Over the years, I gained experience in the field of X-ray structural determination for small molecules and a good knowledge in computing. Until 2005, I was the manager of the X-ray department ( Two diffractometers : Oxford-Diffraction XCALIBUR, Stoe IPDS) of the Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination.
