All applicants should check that they are eligible for an EST fellowship (see eligibility).

• Long term positions (Ph.D.) (beginning in September-December 2006)

For scientific information, the applicant should contact directly via email the contact scientist in charge of the Ph.D. subject she/he is interested in (see open positions). After discussion with this scientist, she/he may apply to the long term position by sending an email to the coordinator (lien Contact) of the Nanotool site containing:

• a detailed Curriculum Vitae,
• a motivation letter explaining the goal and the reason(s) for her/his application,
• at least two reference letters.

• Short- and medium-term positions

Those 8- and 18- month training periods can be appointed during the whole EST program (April 2006-March 2010). A list of available research subjects can be found in the open positions page.

For scientific information, the applicant should contact directly via email the contact scientist in charge of the research subject she/he is interested in (see open positions). After discussion with this scientist, she/he may apply to the long term position by sending an email to the coordinator (lien) of the Nanotool site containing:

• a detailed Curriculum Vitae,
• a motivation letter explaining the goal and the reason(s) for her/his application,
• at least one reference letter.

• Evaluation of the candidate

All applications will be evaluated and selected by the Scientific Committee of the Nanotool training site. The coordinator of the training site will inform all candidates after this selection. The selected applicant will then be contacted directly by the scientist in charge to fill the administrative and scientific forms for the appointment.

• Salary

Marie Curie fellows are employed through fixed-term contracts in accordance with the relevant French legislation. The net salary is about 1500 Euros/month plus mobility allowance of about 300 Euros/month. Social security is included.
