ICOMC 2026 – 31st International Conference on Organometallic Chemistry

The 31st International Conference on Organometallic Chemistry (ICOMC 2026) will take place from August 2–7, 2026, at the Atlântico Búzios Convention Center, in Búzios, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Búzios is a picturesque coastal town in the state of Rio de Janeiro. In addition to the high-level scientific program, its relaxed and inspiring atmosphere will provide the perfect setting to foster both scientific collaboration and lasting friendships.

ICOMC has a tradition spanning over 60 years, with recent editions held in Florence, Italy (2018), Prague, Czech Republic (2022), and Agra, (2004). The 31st edition marks only the second time the conference will be held in the Southern Hemisphere and will be organized under the auspices of the Brazilian Society of Catalysis.

The scientific program will encompass all areas of Organometallic Chemistry, with special focus on Catalysis by Metal Complexes and Sustainable Chemistry.

Barrande-Vltava French-Czech Chemistry Meeting

This two-day scientific symposium, organized under the auspices of the Embassy of France in the Czech Republic and the Société Chimique de France, will cover many aspects of chemical sciences. The programme includes 6 plenary (45 + 5 min of questions) and 7 invited (25 + 5 min of questions) lectures at parity between prominent Czech and French speakers, together with 18 oral communications (12 min + 3 min of questions). All the participants, including speakers, will have the opportunity to present their work as a poster.

One of the aims of the Barrande-Vltava Meetings is to structure and strengthen the French-Czech relationships in chemistry, fostering thereby privileged exchanges between researchers, teachers and institutions. Gathering around 60–80 participants each year in a friendly atmosphere, this series of colloquia, launched in 2010, has already favoured the emergence of new bilateral collaborations, exchanges of students and researchers, co-supervision of PhD’s, invited professorships, but also the signature of double-diploma agreements at the master and doctorate levels.

This 15th edition in France will provide an ideal forum for sharing new ideas, highlighting the fruits of the on-going bilateral networking activities, and giving the opportunity to talented young chemists to discuss their latest results.

GECO66 – Groupe d’Études en Chimie Organique

La 66ème édition du Groupe d’Études en Chimie Organique (GECO66) se tiendra du 30 août au 4 septembre 2026 à La Londe-les-Maures. Il est cette année organisé par des chimistes Niçois. 

Le Groupe d’Études en Chimie Organique (GECO) a été créé en 1959 sous l’impulsion du Professeur Guy Ourisson, qui fut notamment Président de l’Académie des Sciences. Cette idée lui fut inspirée par l’équivalent américain de cette manifestation scientifique, à savoir les prestigieuses « Gordon Research Conferences » auxquelles il participa dans les années 50.

Ce congrès annuel est à présent devenu une institution dont la tenue est un moment exceptionnel et privilégié de l’année pour la communauté des chercheuses/chercheurs et enseignants chercheurs/ enseignantes-chercheuses en chimie organique au sens large. Ce colloque est d’envergure internationale, tout en favorisant l’expression en langue française. Il rassemble chaque année, pendant une semaine et sur un même site, entre 50 et 80 chimistes professionnels (académiques et industriels, français et étrangers) autour d’une douzaine de conférencières et conférenciers invités prestigieux.

The 2026 edition of the Italian Conference of Inorganic Chemistry (INORG2026)

It will take place in Torino from 1 to 4 September 2026, under the joint auspices of the Società Chimica Italiana (SCI) and the Société Chimique de France (SCF), together with the Divisione di Chimica Inorganica (DCI-SCI), the Division de Chimie de Coordination (DCC-SCF), and the Gruppo Interdivisionale di Chimica Organometallica (GICO-SCI).

This event follows the first joint French–Italian conference held in Strasbourg in 2024. It aims to further consolidate scientific interactions between the inorganic and coordination chemistry communities of the two countries. INORG2026 will feature ten plenary lectures delivered by internationally recognised scientists — including recipients of the senior and junior DCI-SCI Awards — alongside nine keynote lectures, an industry-focused session, more than seventy oral communications, and two poster sessions

Formation (ANF)

« Interactions non-covalentes dans le solide moléculaire : Outils d’analyse avancés« 

Lacanau 28/09 au 02/10

Les interactions non-covalentes sont historiquement analysées en termes de distances et d’angles issus des positions atomiques expérimentales. De nouvelles méthodes d’analyse ont vu le jour il y a une vingtaine d’années et sont en constant développement depuis. Elles intègrent des méthodes basées sur des approches théoriques ou statistiques et permettent d’obtenir des informations sur la force et la nature des interactions. Cette formation visera à faire connaitre et faire utiliser ces méthodes.

Toutes les informations et en particulier les détails pratiques et le programme seront régulièrement mis à jour sur la page dédiée à l’ANF du site web de ЯÉCIPROCS.

25 places sont disponibles. Comme il s’agit d’une école de type « formation permanente », elle s’adresse en priorité à des personnels permanents ou contractuels mais quelques places pourraient être accessibles pour des étudiants en thèse. Cette semaine de formation, très orientée sur la pratique, alternera présentations et démonstrations ou ateliers/travaux pratiques sur vos ordinateurs.
