Molecular design of transition-metal pre-catalysts

  • Activity

Research in the group “Molecular design of transition metal pre-catalysts” is centered on the organometallic chemistry of carbenes in a broad sense, with applications ranging from synthetic organic and organometallic chemistry through basic knowledge in organometallic chemistry to homogeneous catalysis, and for a sustainable chemistry.

Our research activity is composed of four complementary and interlinked research directions :

Ligand design, mainly based on N-Heterocyclic Carbenes with original architectures (functional backbone, annelated rings, pincer-type geometry …).

Basic organometallic chemistry, with a strong expertise in the organometallic chemistry of Manganese and in the chemistry of Phosphorus .

Manganese based homogenous catalysis

Experimental analysis of the charge density within carbene complexes.
