Stephanie BASTIN


Stéphanie Bastin was born in 1974 in Valenciennes, France. She completed her thesis in 2000 under the supervision of Prof. Jacques Brocard at the “Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille I” working on chiral ferrocenyl amino alcohols and their catalytic applications. Then, she obtained a teacher and research assistant position in the same group for one year. In 2001, she joined the group of Prof. Martin Wills at the University of Warwick (UK). In 2003, she held a postdoctoral position in the team of Dr Jean-Pierre Majoral in the “Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination” in Toulouse. In 2004, she received a permanent position as a CNRS researcher in the same Laboratory. Her current research focuses on the development of new N-Heterocyclic Carbenes for catalytic applications.
