Techniques physico-chimiques pour l’étude des métaux en chimie bio-inorganique et biologie.

L’école MetBio@Gre 2026, qui se déroulera en anglais, permettra aux jeunes chercheurs.euses, doctorant.e.s, post-doctorant.e.s, ingénieur·e.s de se former aux méthodes d’étude des métaux en chimie bio-inorganique et biologie.
L’école comprendra des sessions de cours théoriques ainsi que des travaux pratiques. Les modules d’enseignement couvriront les spectroscopies magnétiques telles que la Résonance Magnétique Nucléaire et la Résonance Paramagnétique Électronique, les spectroscopies Mössbauer et d’absorption des rayons X, la spectrométrie de masse, les techniques électrochimiques et spectroélectrochimiques, la cristallographie des protéines, la chimie théorique et l’imagerie cellulaire.

Attention, les inscriptions sont limitées à 52 participant.e.s !

5th Frenchbic school on methods for studying metals in chemistry biology

Registration for the 5th edition of the CNRS thematic school MetBio@Gre (free for CNRS staff and starting at €360 for other participants) is now open on the FrenchBic website until May 4, 2026.

This school on physico-chemical techniques for the study of metals in bioinorganic chemistry and biology, organized under the auspices of FrenchBIC and jointly with the Institut des Métaux en Biologie (IMBG) and the LabEx Arcane, will take place from 16 to 20 November 2026 at the Château de la Commanderie in Grenoble.

The MetBio@Gre 2026 school, held in English, will provide an opportunity for young researchers, doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and engineers to train in methods applied to the study of metals in bioinorganic chemistry and biology. 

The school will include theoretical and practical classes. The teaching modules will cover magnetic spectroscopies such as Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Electron Paramagnetic Resonance, Mössbauer and X-ray absorption spectroscopies, mass spectrometry, electrochemical and spectroelectrochemical techniques, protein crystallography, theoretical chemistry, and cellular imaging.
