Rinaldo Poli, Professor Emeritus in Team G of the Coordination Chemistry Laboratory (LCC Toulouse) has been elected a member of the Academia Europaea, in the Chemical Sciences section.
This election by the Academy recognizes his outstanding contribution to science and honors the LCC.
The Academia Europaea, created in 1988, is the pan-European Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts.
“Members of the Academia Europaea are scientists and scholars from all over Europe. Founded in 1988, it currently has over 4,500 members, including 72 Nobel Prize laureates. Membership is by invitation, following nomination by a group of peers, and review and confirmation of the individual’s excellence in his or her field. Election is confirmed by the Academy Council.”
The Academia Europaea’s mission is to promote European research, advise governments and international organizations on scientific matters and foster interdisciplinary and international research, as well as to propagate excellence in teaching.
