Anne-Marie Caminade awarded the ‘Sacconi Medal 2024’ by the Italian Chemical Society

Anne-Marie Caminade, deputy director of the Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination (LCC-CNRS) in Toulouse since 2021, is a senior researcher (DRCE CNRS).

She is working in the field of phosphorus-containing dendrimers. This research area, initiated by Anne-Marie Caminade, finds its main applications in catalysis, materials science and biology/nanomedicine.

Its scientific output is remarkable. It maintains numerous national and international collaborations, particularly with Italy.

Each year, the ‘Luigi Sacconi Foundation’ and the Inorganic Chemistry Division of the Italian Chemical Society award the ‘Luigi Sacconi Medal’ to an outstanding scientist who has achieved excellent results in chemistry (for the list of winners, see https://www.cerm.unifi.it/sacconi-medal).

This is the 2nd foreign chemical company to award a prize to Anne-Marie Caminade (Germany in 2022, Italy in 2024).
A well-deserved recognition of her work by foreign countries with which she has a long-standing working relationship!

At the congress of the Italian Chemical Society in Milan, Maurizio Peruzzini, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Luigi Sacconi Foundation, presents the Luigi Sacconi medal to Anne-Marie Caminade.
